YOUR FRIENDSHIP CARDS ARE THE MOST CHERISHED PART OF OUR SURIVIAL KITS AND STUDENT BACKPACKS

THE DEADLINE TO DELIVER YOUR FRIENDSHIP CARDS IS FEBRUARY 1, 2021!

We are delighted to let you know that you have helped us reach our goal of 6,000 Friendship Cards for just as many homeless students. Yet, our work isn't over as there are still tens of thousands members of our human family living on the streets. With a number of new outreach programs in formation for 2021, we will need more Friendship Cards that deliver messages of hope, solidarity and love.

This is where you come in . . .

Please connect with your family, House of Worship, school or other safely socially-distanced group to share your special messages through hand-made Friendship Cards. The instructions are easy to follow. Please note that although the video was created for a successful campaign last year, the guidelines for messaging remain pertinent -- albeit for new programs in 2021.

Please watch the instruction video or follow the easy steps below. The drop-off information on this page has been recently updated for touchless delivery of your masterpieces. You may also mail your Friendship Cards to us at the address provided below.

Thank you and happy creating!

.

First, fold a sheet of 8.5” x 11” paper in half, lengthwise

Then fold it again, to make your card

This is the front of the card

Here is where you show off your art skills! We encourage the use of color in your drawings: markers, crayons, colored pencils – whatever arts supplies you already have in your house. This is the inside of the card.

Your personal, written message goes here. Write from the heart. Share your love, your encouragement and wishes for the recipient’s good health and safety. You might want to comment our friends on their tenacity, courage and send a message of welcome and inclusionJust think about what you’d want to hear during this very scary time, particularly if you are facing COVID-19, cold weather and uncertainty on the streets. And feel free to sign your name, so they know who spent the time and effort to brighten their day.

If you’re feeling inspired, make 2…or 10. We need as many as you can make – so get your family, friends and classmates involved!
