Friday, December 15, 2023: 9:00 AM – Noon: Winter Universal Care Kit Prep – Move items into prep/assembly areas, breakdown and assemble subunits for the main survival kit (Fellowship Hall)
Friday, December 15, 2023: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM: *SHIFT IS FULL. PLEASE MAKE ANOTHER SELECTION*. Winter Outreach Prep – Prepare and assemble Women+Girls Health and Beauty Kit and Companion Dog and Companion Cat (brand new!) Kits (FH)
Friday, December 15, 2023: 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM: Winter Universal Care Kit Prep - For Families and Youth – Giving Spirit “Family Time” – Created for families of youth from toddlers to teens (FH)
Friday, December 15, 2023: 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM: Winter Universal Care Assembly - Build and start assembly line for distribution via Outreach on Saturday and Sunday (FH)
Saturday, December 16, 2023: 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Winter Universal Care Assembly and attend Learning Experience #1 – "Homeless Youth - Our Future Abandoned and Vulnerable" – A powerful moderated integrated dialogue with experts and lived experienced storytellers focusing the most relevant issues in poverty and homelessness (FH and Garden Room – enter from Fellowship Hall)
Saturday, December 16, 2023: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM: *SHIFT IS FULL. PLEASE MAKE ANOTHER SELECTION* Winter Universal Care Assembly and attend Learning Experience #1 – "Homeless Youth - Our Future Abandoned and Vulnerable" - A powerful moderated integrated dialogue with experts and lived experienced storytellers focusing the most relevant issues in poverty and homelessness (FH and Garden Room -enter from Fellowship Hall)
Saturday, December 16, 2023 – 11:10 AM - 4:00 PM: Winter Direct Outreach Orientation, Training and Deployment – Join us in directly serving our unhoused in Downtown LA and in Venice. This is where the magic happens. We have set up separate orientations for each deployment location - see below.
1. Deployment to DTLA and the Downtown Women’s and LGBTQ+ Centers (Orientation 11:15 - 11:45 - Garden Room - enter from Fellowship Hall)
2. Deployment to Westside, WestLA and Venice (Orientation 12:00 - 12:45 - Garden Room - enter from Fellowship Hall)
Saturday, December 16, 2023: 1:30 - 4:30: Complete Assembly of Winter Universal Care Kits and attend Learning Experience #2 - "The Human Animal Bond: Veterans, Companion Animals and Navigating Homelessness" - powerful moderated integrated dialogue with experts and lived experienced storytellers focusing the most relevant issues in poverty and homelessness (FH and GR – enter from Fellowship Hall)
Sunday, December 17, 2023: 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM: Winter Direct Outreach Orientation, Training and Deployment – Join us in directly serving our unhoused. Full training, orientation and deployment to SF Valley, South LA and remaining Westside, WestLA and DTLA areas (Fellowship Hall)
As we are restarting after a three-year hiatus, spaces will go quickly. If you have to cancel for any reason please let us know to allow others to participate. We will keep you updated if weather or other issues affect your participation.
